Greatchip Group, a China-based smart luggage manufacturer exporting suitcases and travel goods to markets around the world, today welcomed more than 40 local primary school students to its headquarters and modern manufacturing campus in Xing’an, Jiangxi Province. The visit was part of Xing’an County’s 2026 “Science and Technology One-Day Tour” educational program, held under the theme “Technology Changes Life, Innovation Wins the Future.”

The morning began in Greatchip’s corporate exhibition hall, where the children were introduced to the story of Xing’an’s rapidly growing luggage manufacturing cluster and the role Greatchip plays within it. Guided by company staff, the students traced the full journey of a suitcase — from market research, target-market analysis and product positioning, through design and R&D, to mass production and international logistics. A large wall display mapped this end-to-end value chain, giving the students a vivid sense of how an idea becomes a product that travels the world.

One of the highlights of the tour was the students’ encounter with Greatchip’s intelligent guide robot, which greeted the group and answered their curious questions in the exhibition hall. Wide-eyed and enthusiastic, the children crowded around the screen to interact with it — a small but memorable introduction to automation and human-machine collaboration.

The students then had the chance to get hands-on with Greatchip’s latest products. Handling lightweight hard-shell suitcases in soft pastel tones, extending telescopic handles and testing silent spinner wheels, they discovered for themselves the design thinking — balance, durability and user comfort — that goes into every piece of luggage. A walk past the company’s organization and culture wall showed them how a global brand is run by real teams: R&D, procurement, quality assurance, domestic sales and international trade working under one roof.

The afternoon session took the students behind the glass of Greatchip’s production floor. Under the banner “Precision Manufacturing, Trusted Worldwide,” they observed orange industrial robotic arms performing automated tasks, watched conveyors move luggage shells through clean, brightly lit workshops, and saw how human workers and smart machines work side by side. The walk-through gave them a concrete sense of “smart manufacturing” — not as an abstract word, but as a real, humming factory floor.

For Greatchip, the student visit was more than a factory tour — it was an investment in the community the company calls home. As a manufacturer deeply rooted in Xing’an’s local industrial ecosystem, Greatchip believes that giving children a genuine, first-hand look at modern industry is one of the most meaningful ways a business can contribute to society.
“We believe that today’s curious children are tomorrow’s engineers, designers and entrepreneurs. Opening our factory to local students lets them see where ideas turn into real products, where technology serves people, and how a manufacturing business can grow while giving back to its community. This is part of who Greatchip is.”

The program reflects Greatchip’s broader corporate social responsibility philosophy: to run a competitive, export-oriented business with global standards, while staying committed to local education, youth development and the long-term vitality of the Xing’an region. By exposing children to STEM, advanced manufacturing and global careers at an early age, the company hopes to plant the seeds of curiosity, confidence and craftsmanship — values that will serve them long after the tour ends.
